About Mandy
First and foremost, I am a proud mother of two amazing boys who grew up playing hockey and baseball. Being a mother has taught me patience, compassion, resilience, and the importance of always showing up for the people who count on you.
I have called Brantford home for more than 30 years and have spent much of that time giving back. Over the years I have coached hockey and baseball, volunteered with cadet organizations, served on parent councils, and supported local youth programs. These experiences let me build strong connections across our city and better understand the needs of local families.
For the past 16 years I have worked in security, including with the City of Brantford. Through that work I have met people from all walks of life and gained firsthand insight into the challenges facing individuals, families, businesses, and our community as a whole. It strengthened my belief that effective leadership requires both compassion and accountability.
I also hold several certificates, diplomas, and degrees in public safety, leadership, communication, administration, and budgeting. Combined with my frontline experience, this gives me a practical understanding of both the people we serve and the systems that affect their daily lives.
I believe in fiscal responsibility, supporting local businesses, advocating for families and seniors, and making sure residents feel heard. More than anything, I believe in kindness, community, and bringing people together.

Ward 5 is a community with a strong identity — long-time residents, growing families, seniors, workers, students, and the local businesses that make Brantford a great place to live. While no one person has all the answers, I promise to listen, work hard, remain accessible, and always put residents first.
Why vote for me
I am a mother who raised two boys in Brantford through sports, schools, and community involvement. I know firsthand the importance of safe neighbourhoods, affordable recreation, strong schools, and opportunities for every generation.
For 16 years I have worked in security and public safety, including directly with the City of Brantford and vulnerable populations. I understand addiction, homelessness, mental health challenges, and the impact these issues have on residents, businesses, and families.
My background in business, administration, criminology, and public safety has given me strong skills in leadership, budgeting, and accountability. Residents deserve confidence that their hard-earned tax dollars are spent wisely.
Over 30 years here, most spent volunteering, mentoring youth, supporting schools, and helping people. This community is not an abstraction to me — it is my home.
My focus is not political division but practical solutions — safer communities, stronger support for all generations, responsible growth, and restoring trust between residents and city council.

I care deeply about Ward 5 because this is my home. I will always listen, work hard, and advocate for a Brantford we can all be proud of.
